Our Team

Ashley Cummings, ARNP, PMHNP-BC (Owner/Provider)

Hope is an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. - Hebrews 6:19

In today’s fast-paced world, women often carry countless roles—spouse, parent, leader, employee, caregiver, volunteer—and each of these can be deeply impacted when mental health challenges are present. For many, the underlying cause is executive dysfunction related to ADHD, yet it often goes unrecognized.

Ashley is the founder of Anchored Psychiatry, and has dedicated her career to helping people—especially women—find clarity, healing, and confidence through accurate ADHD diagnosis, meaningful education, and expert medication management. She also provides care for co-occurring conditions such as depression, anxiety, insomnia, trauma, and substance use disorders (MAT).

With more than 15 years in healthcare, Ashley has worked across diverse settings including inpatient and outpatient psychiatry, crisis stabilization, involuntary evaluation and treatment, withdrawal management, labor & delivery, medical-surgical care, long-term care, and rehabilitation. Her academic journey includes an associate degree in nursing (2014), a bachelor’s degree in nursing (2016), and a master’s degree in psychiatric-mental health nursing (2021). She is currently pursuing her PhD with a focus in education.

Ashley’s passion is deeply personal. Having lived with undiagnosed ADHD—and the depression and anxiety that often follows—she understands the frustration of feeling misunderstood and overlooked. Through her own journey, she discovered how underserved adults with ADHD are, particularly women, and now feels called to serve those silently struggling with executive dysfunction.

Her approach to care is whole-person centered—combining collaboration, education, thoughtful medication intervention, evidence-based supplement recommendations, brief psychotherapy, lifestyle changes, skills training, and mindset work. Ashley believes true wellness emerges when individuals understand who they are in Christ and pursue growth aligned with their purpose—while always respecting each client’s personal beliefs and autonomy.

Ashley currently resides in Southwestern Idaho, though she grew up in North-Central Washington. She provides virtual psychiatric services to adults (18+) across Idaho and Washington, offering assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for ADHD, mood disorders, anxiety, insomnia, trauma, and women’s mental health concerns.

Bethany Garcia, ARNP, PMHNP-BC (Provider)

When life feels like a constant spin cycle—lost keys, endless to-do lists, or persistent worry— Bethany is here to help you find calm and clarity.

Bethany is a board-certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner with eight years of experience on the psychiatric frontlines. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing, with honors, from Frontier Nursing University in 2024.

Specializing in adult ADHD—with or without co-occurring mood and anxiety disorders—Bethany takes a judgment-free, stigma-free approach to care. She believes in meeting clients exactly where they are, using evidence-based practices to create practical solutions. In sessions, she helps clients turn scattered thoughts into clear next steps, establish boundaries that truly stick, and navigate medication management, when appropriate.

Bethany is currently accepting clients 18+ in Washington for assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of ADHD and co-occurring conditions. Her clients describe her as open, approachable, and committed to helping them build skills and confidence in managing their mental health.

Amberly Potter, LMFT (Therapist & Spiritual Coach)

“Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.” – Brené Brown

When the weight of trauma, addiction, or executive dysfunction makes
each day feel like you’re carrying a boulder up a hill, Amberly is
here to remind you that you don’t have to shoulder it alone. She’s a
licensed marriage & family therapist with more than 10 years on the
mental-health frontlines, and her passion is guiding adults back to
the strongest, truest version of themselves.

Amberly’s path began in child- and family-trauma work and led her to
clinical supervision at an inpatient crisis-stabilization and
co-occurring disorders facility. She’s supported clients through
detox, relapse, attachment wounds, and the quiet heartbreak that
follows “holding it all together” for too long. Through all of her professional interactions, Amberly has seen one constant: genuine
human connection is key to healing.

What sets her apart is lived experience. A woman in long-term
recovery, Amberly knows the terror—and courage—of choosing change.
She’s felt the powerlessness of addiction and the overwhelm of
survival mode, and she brings that hard-won empathy into every
session. Her style is down-to-earth, realistic, and compassion-driven;
she doesn’t “fix” people—she helps them hear themselves, honor their
pain, and move forward with pride.

Therapeutically, Amberly blends evidence-based care with whole-person
respect. Expect a tailored mix of trauma-informed therapy, DBT skills,
attachment work, mindfulness, and just-enough straight talk to nudge
you past stuck points. Healing with Amberly isn’t about perfection;
it’s about becoming more fully you.

She currently resides in Nevada and offers virtual therapy to adults
(18+) in both Nevada and Washington who are navigating trauma,
addiction, mood disorders, neurodivergence, or life
transitions—spiritual shifts included. If you’re ready (or simply
willing) to begin the brave work of coming home to yourself, Amberly
welcomes you.
