Here at Anchored Psychiatry, I am passionate about providing full-service mental healthcare. Having one provider for assessment, diagnosis, medication management, and therapy allows for a truly therapeutic provider-client relationship. We are image-bearers of God and are meant to flourish... join me to learn how!
Hope is an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. - Hebrews 6:19
In our complex and ever-changing society, you fill countless roles each and every day; individual, spouse, parent, business leader, valued employee, volunteer, and everything in between. Each of these roles can be negatively impacted when mental health struggles are also present... especially when they stem from executive dysfunction in the context of ADHD! As a board-certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner, I have a passion for helping my clients achieve their highest potential.
I have worked in healthcare in many different settings for nearly 15 years. In 2014, I obtained my associate degree in nursing, with honors. In 2016 I completed my bachelor’s degree in nursing and in 2021 my master’s degree in nursing with a specialization in psychiatric-mental health care. I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatry, crisis stabilization, involuntary evaluation & treatment, and acute withdrawal management as well as labor & delivery, medical-surgical, long-term care, and physical rehabilitation. This has given me a well-rounded perspective and has given me insight into mental health care that I otherwise wouldn’t have received.
Having lived with undiagnosed ADHD, as well as the resulting depression and anxiety, for most of my life, I have successfully overcome many of the same challenges that my clients now face. With a true desire to better understand and treat ADHD, I’ve discovered how terribly underserved the adult population truly is... particularly women! I truly feel called to help those suffering in silence with executive dysfunction. My approach to mental wellness is whole-person centered; with collaboration, education, appropriate and conservative medication intervention, psychotherapy, lifestyle change, skills training, mindset work, and systems integration to achieve true healing! In my opinion, true mental wellness is reached when a person understands who they are in Christ and then engages in an active process of self-development according to their purpose. However, I strive to provide the same standards of care to everyone and respect one’s autonomy in determining their personal beliefs.
Currently, I reside in North-Central Washington, which is also where I grew up. I am currently accepting clients who are 18+ years old for assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of ADHD, depression and other mood disorders, anxiety, insomnia, and Women’s issues. I have also received CBT training through the Beck Institute and am adept at other individual therapy modalities including skill-building, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, systems development, and Christian counseling.
I look forward to partnering with you on your journey to your highest potential!
